Biography of Muhammed Iqbal Imam

Muhammed Iqbal Imam graduated from Punjab University Lahore, Pakistan in Economics in 1975. He worked in the Goethe Institute (German Cultural Centre) Lahore, Pakistan as an In-charge Film Section and Students Enrolment Section from 1975 to 1978.

A.R.Namlah (Agent of AEG Telefunken, Germany) was the Organization, where Muhammed Iqbal Imam worked from 1979 to 1982. He imported and controlled all household appliances in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on behalf of the company.

He joined Citibank/Saudi American Bank Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in 1982 where he worked in the management and handled IATA/BSP (Billing & Settlement Plan) accounts including all airlines and travel agencies in the Western and Eastern Regions of Saudi Arabia. He got transferred within the bank in the Cash Management. Muhammed Iqbal Imam marketed and cross-sold all banking products such Commercial Landing, Consumer Loans, Foreign Exchange, Letters of Credit and Electronic Banking Systems to the corporate clients.

He became a Finance Manager and a Credit Committee Member of the bank with $ 100,000 lending limit and controlled more than 150 corporate and High Net Worth accounts. He has received 6 Service Excellence Awards and many Management bonuses for over achieving portfolio.

He resigned from the bank and came to Canada in 2000. He upgraded his studies and completed 'Canadian Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors' as well as 'Canadian Securities Course' & Conduct & Practices Course' in 2001.

He owned Electronic Warehouse in March 2002. The showroom is a retail store with more than 5500 square feet and have electronic and computers products (for more info visit www.electronicwarehouse.ca).

Muhammed Iqbal Imam speaks English, Urdu, Hindi, Arabic and Punjabi. He loves Pakistan and as well as Canada. He wants to unite East and West business communities.
